Kenzie had an exciting past few weeks! She spent her birthday in California at Disneyland with her high school choir group. She had a great time, but I have to say it was a sacrifice not to have her with me on her birthday. When she got home we were able to celebrate with the family. She got home on Sunday afternoon, then that night we had to make posters to campaign for Executive Council (student body officer for those of us who are old). My friend, Jen, came and helped out until after 11:00pm. At 6:00am the next morning I went with Kenzie to hang posters at the school. The rest of the week consisted of skits, speeches, essays, a luncheon, and an interview. The week was stressful for her (and for Mom). Neither one of us could sleep Thursday night. I even had a stomach ache! She went to school Friday morning and called me 15 minutes later to tell me that she made it! Congratulations Kenzie!!!!
Today Kenzie received her Young Womanhood Recognition Award. We are very proud of her and the young woman she is. We love you Kenzie.
