Our Week at a Glance

I have been encouraging my mom to post pictures on her blog so we can live vicariously through them while they are on vacation. She has been doing great, but she gave me a little flack since I haven't posted anything for over 1 1/2 weeks. This past week has been busy! So here it goes. I worked 4 days, blah. In between all that I've taken only 3 pictures. The first is of Father's Day! Happy Belated Father's Day. My dad is not here so it's good I did a post of him several posts back. Ditto to everything I said and I love and miss him a lot. Next, Happy Father's Day to Mikey! He is the greatest! I couldn't have asked for a better husband, father, and best friend! I love you more than words can say.

This week Kenzie also baked her first ever bread. It was zucchini bread. I pulled a couple zucchini out of our garden the night before and left her a recipe when I went to work. She did a great job! The bread was delicious!

Who do you pray to? This one is a bit sad, but I couldn't resist. Tuesday night Noah got sick. It was the sickest I've ever seen him. That "porcelain god" was his best friend for almost 24 hours. Sadly, his friend got it the same day. To add to the sadness, Kenzie got sick on Friday and had the same best friend. No....we don't end there. Saturday morning Mike was heading to Cedar to speak at a friend's youth conference....he never made it. He turned around after 5 minutes on the road and spent that day and the next night worshiping the same as Kenzie and Noah had. I'm happy to say that they are all recovered now and the rest of us are determined not to follow their example.

Girls Camp

This week Kenzie and I were able to go to girls camp. This is the 3rd year I have been able to go with her. We went as a ward to Duck Creek which is up Cedar Mountain. It was beautiful up there, but we froze! One day it rained on us for 3 hours. Some of us were ready to come home, but the girls wanted to stay. Our theme was "survivor" and the girls really showed us they were survivors in every way. The photo with our hands in the pot of water was our way of warming up our hands. We sat there for a good 10 minutes.
We had a great time at camp!

Let's Go Boating!

We have been waiting for Summer to come so we could go boating. Well, it's here and we went to Sand Hollow late this afternoon. When we arrived the weather was ok, a few clouds, but then we felt a few raindrops. We got the boat in the water and it started pouring. Lucky for us it stopped in 10 minutes. Then the fun began. Gage and Kenzie are always first to go on the tube. It's a lot of fun seeing how long they can stay on and how high we can make them fly. Maddie and I had a turn next and then Noah came with me. Keaton arrived and on the way to the shore to pick him up Gage was able to knee board. He's getting pretty good at it too. Keaton was able to wakeboard several times. He's a natural at it. Then the winds picked up and it was time to go. We have been caught in high winds and high waves before and didn't want to repeat that experience. We were able to get the boat out of the water with only a few scratches to the boat. We had a great time and are looking forward to spending a lot of time on our little, old boat this year.
